Average NQ salary in Edinburgh?
Riddler

I have an interview for an NQ job in Edinburgh and have a feeling I'm going to be asked how much I would expect to be paid.
Don't want to undersell myself but, being a trainee, it's hard to judge what I should be asking for on qualification - what sort of pay are NQs on in decent Edinburgh firms?

I would say 35-40. Although these figures might have been revised down by some firms at the height of the recession

Good luck with that! Unless its a top 3 firm you'll be lucky to get above 35k in my experience, maybe even less.

I think 35-40 a bit steep in the current climate. On qualifying into one of the "big four" firms 2 years ago I and all my trainee to NQ colleagues got 35k and that was before the recession hit...maybe suggest 33-35

33-36 for top five/six Scottish.
Lower for other places e.g. 30-33.
CMS are a different matter and could be over 50 easily.
Premier corp might pay 38, only creme de la creme however.

38 k ? 50 k?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA
cms is hardly an actual FIRM here
but they're still not stupid enough to pay almost twice local rates

The Big 4 are all paying around £30k, NQ's in Scotland can only dream of hitting the £40k mark....
