Slater & Gordon: depressing client testimonial of the week

Slater & Gordon is proudly showing testimonials on its website from clients praising the firm for its work. One of which could be in line for the most depressing client testimonial award.

Bucking the trend for chipper endorsements law firms usually run with, one of Slaters' testimonal is a particularly desolate read. The anonymous clients say they have been left with a "burden of debt" and a situation that has "not always been easy." They do admit that "over time" they may recover, but only "to a degree".  At least they have their "health and each other".

Happy times

Given their burden of debt, and the crappy time they have clearly gone through, it is cheering that they acknowledge their interactions with Julia Gillard's former firm were not the worst things to have happened to them: "thank you and your team for your excellent work."
