Pippa Middleton's gun-toting chum revealed as Shearman lawyer
20 April 2012
It has been revealed that the man captured on camera pointing a gun at photographers whilst driving Pippa Middleton around Paris is a lawyer at Shearman & Sterling
. So that's more embarrassment caused by associates for the firm, fresh in the wake of Daniel England's Dubai-gate spit-roasting disaster
Middleton, who shot to fame last year thanks to her
sister's wedding, has recently been enjoying Paris nightlife in the company of vicomtes and other such grandes fromages
(people who somehow escaped Mme Guillotine in 1789). In particular, she was driven to Gare du Nord by one Romain Rabillard after a long night of cavorting with dwarves dressed as Marie Antoinette (see Daily Mail for full details).
Middleton is regularly hunted by the paps, and in an attempt to scare them off, Rabillard pointed what appeared to be a pistol at the chasing pack. That's an offence which could land him with seven years in prison (or two, if the gun turns out to be a fake). But worst of all, it has been revealed that Rabillard is an associate at Shearman & Sterling Paris

Neatly, Rabillard, who appears to have joined the firm in 2004, has worked on deals for leading arms
manufacturer Heckler & Koch. The Mirror reports that one of his friends described him as "a very hard-working lawyer, but he absolutely loves to let his hair down...Calling him a wild man would be about right!
" He was reportedly lying low as the investigation into his gun-toting antics were downgraded, apparently after pressure from London.
The firm did not comment.
