Clifford Chance paralegal appeals for funds to help his daughter walk
05 October 2012
Tim Harrison, a Clifford Chance paralegal, will be kayaking 140 miles along the Thames this weekend to help raise money for a life-improving operation for his two year-old daughter.
Harrison's daughter Annabelle was born 12 weeks prematurely and suffered a bleed on the brain, which led to a later diagnosis of spastic diplegic cerebral palsy. This means that the muscles in Annabelle's legs become intensely tight and she is unable to walk unaided.
There is an operation that could alleviate her condition and allow her to walk independently. However, it is only available in the States and the family are trying to raise the £55k needed for the operation, travel and after care.

Harrison is undertaking several sponsored events to raise the cash, the first of which is a 140 mile kayak down the Thames which will take him three days. You can visit the family's Justgiving pages here
