Man blames pet cat for illegal downloads

A 48-year-old man is facing trial after blaming his pet cat for downloading child pornography.
Keith Griffin, of Jensen Beach, Florida, was charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography after more than a thousand indecent images were found on his computer. He told police that all he had been doing was listening to music, but when he was away from the computer his cat jumped on the keyboard and downloaded the images.
How it might have looked
Griffin claims that the animal often did this, and that "
strange things
" used to appear on his computer as a result. Unimpressed officers locked him up anyway on $250,000.
The cat is apparently being looked after by a family friend.
