Broke law firm: RollOnFriday withdraws emergency stationery appeal

RollOnFriday has launched, and then abandoned, an emergency appeal to help a law firm that is unable to offer a salary to new recruits. By donating unwanted stationery, RollOnFriday readers were asked to help support Gavin Edmondson Solicitors of Northwich, Cheshire through this difficult time.
Gavin Edmondson Solicitors (of Northwich, Cheshire) placed the advertisement below in the legal press this week. Despite not offering any cash, the firm was determined to hire a hardworking paralegal to help grow partner profits. At times like this, the whole profession needs to pull together and the simple gift by a RollOnFriday reader of a pen, a post-it note or some paperclips could make all the difference.
The RollOnFriday team kicked off the appeal by sending an emergency package consisting of three pens, some of those flourescent post-it notes and two medium bulldog clips to the firm.
STOP PRESS
Cheshire Police have been in contact with RollOnFriday. They've said that office supplies have been arriving at Gavin Edmonson Solicitors, and they reckon that this could amount to harassment. So please don't send any more stationery to the firm, even nice stuff, they've got enough now thanks.
